Red Carpet Queen, the name of a new cosmetic brand from Amsterdam and the name of a beauty shop and spa in Amsterdam. The owners of both brand and shop needed to migrate their old Internet shop to Magento renaming their business to Red Carpet Queen. We took care of that.
Joeri Vanhove and Herman Stevens, a charming and energetic Amsterdam couple, run their spa and store in the Amsterdam neighborhood Jordaan. Joeri, originally from Belgium, has a background as beauty specialist for Chanel for many years, decided to set out on his own. This journey has led to setting up an entirely new brand called Red Carpet Queen, and now their whole business has been rebranded to Red Carpet Queen. They are doing good.
For some years they have had their Internet shop, under the old brand name, in a hosted solution. But with the launch of a second web site for the new brand they first decided to move to Magento to have better control, and also because Magento can easily handle two shops on one installation and still only enter your products once and sell them in both shops if you wish. In the end Joeri and Herman decided to rebrand their business into the new Red Carpet Queen brand and they are only using one shop. le Pelle was asked to manage the process of setting up the two shop construction on one Magento installation and later to limit it to one shop.
Red Carpet Queen used their own designer and le Pelle supervised the implementation of the graphic design, and managed the setting up of the functionality, teaching and training Joeri and Herman how to use Magento. Joeri and Herman are also interested in some of the more complex functionalities of Magento, like automating synchronization of the store inventory with the Magento inventory (selling in the real shop is automatically registered in the web based Magento inventory) and by following this path reducing their number of manual tasks.
Joeri and Herman was a pleasant experience to work with and so is a visit to their real shop and spa in the heart of Amsterdam. Really worth scheduling when you visit Amsterdam!
